Pastor's Desk - The Way to Walk

Pastor Ted & Kylie Evans

Have you ever thought about the way that you walk? I mean, have you considered what your feet are doing?
What your head is doing? What your hands and arms are doing? What about your knees and every other part of your body? Have you ever stopped to think that the rest of your body simply follows the lead of your mind? Your feet don't have a mind of their own, and nor do your legs.
Your hands don't give direction and even though your head might be looking in a different direction, it still doesn't change your course. It's the same in our lives.
As the body of Christ, we should follow the mind of Christ.
Our obedience, our ability to follow His direction, should come out of a heart desire to love and serve Him.
Jesus is the head of the church, the head of the body.
We make up the rest of the body. So, just like in our own bodies, we should, as the members of His body, follow what He tells us and what He calls us to do. And, what does He call us to do? Where does He lead us? He leads us in the path of righteousness! We are to love each other, to honour each other, not to think more highly of ourselves than we ought. We are to encourage each other, we are to build each other up in the most holy faith. We are to follow Jesus and obey His commands.
We are to be changed from glory to glory! We are to know the truth and walk in the light! Above all, we are to love Jesus. If we love Him, above all and above ourselves, we will walk differently. This week, think about how you walk.
Think about where you are going and who you are following to get there. Love Jesus and follow Him! God bless you!
