Pastor's Desk - Coming Up!
As the Pastors of the Family Worship Centre, it's our desire and passion to equip the body of Christ to function not just adequately, but effectively and purposefully.
We understand and believe that no man, and for that matter, no church, is an island and that there is no place for Lone Rangers in the Kingdom of God.
We believe in the five fold ministry in the body and appreciate how a 'balanced diet' is necessary for the church to thrive, grow and develop in their relationship with Christ to be effective in the community.
Over the coming months, we have a variety of guest ministry sure to tantalise your senses and fill your Spirit as we provide you a plethora of opportunities to 'taste and see that the Lord is good'!
We have our own home grown stars as well, and our Bible College students are developing their skills and preaching abilities by presenting communion each week.
This month, Kerry Norman will be with us all the way from Cambodia. Kerry has been serving as a missionary there for many years and is going to be sharing her wealth of experiences of how God has impacted her and the areas that she has been involved. Kerry is speaking on Sunday July 18th at 10am and you are welcome to join us for this special mission focussed morning.
In August, Ps Duane Van Vuuren will be leading a special Kid's Workers Conference for any children's workers in the region. Ps Duane was the former leader of Kids R Us and has worked in children's ministry for many years. We are honoured to have Ps Duane with us on the 27th and 28th of August.
Later in the year we will be having Ps Luke Anderson of Edge Church International running a musicians workshop as well as preaching for us. We will also be having Steve Grace and his team minister in our church as part of the Heritage Tour.
